How to Create a new browser user profile in Chrome Browser

If your browser user profile is corrupted, you can create a new user profile to replace the broken one:

1. Exit Google Chrome completely.

2. Locate the User Data folder by going to the Start menu > Run. Enter one of the following directories in the text field, then press OK.

* Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\
* Windows Vista: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\

3. Rename folder as ‘Backup User Data.’

You should now be able to open Google Chrome normally. A new ‘User Data’ folder is automatically created as you start using the browser. If you want to transfer your old browser history and bookmarks into your new user profile, copy the relevant files from the ‘Backup User Data’ folder to your new ‘User Data’ folder.

    Tried, does not work, i used the first option and the message still poped-up, then renamed the User Data folder as per second option, the problem is still there ….
